Welcome

Tyler Cates American Legion Post 281 was chartered on August 10, 2010 and incorporated on November 3, 2010 with 47 veteran members of the great little town of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee. We have grown to the strength of 300+ members and continue to welcome veterans from Mt. Juliet, across Wilson County, and all of the surrounding counties.

We do not have a “brick and mortar” building of our own, yet.   Currently, we are meeting in the Mt. Juliet Senior Activity Center at 2034 North Mt. Juliet Road, in Mt. Juliet, the second Tuesday of each month. We have a time of food and fellowship starting at 6:00 pm followed by our regular post-meeting starting at 7:00 pm.  If you would like more information about our post, contact Commander, Terry Ward, through the link below or the Adjutant, Shawn Taylor, in the same manner, or you can simply click the contact us link on the top right of our website’s homepage.  We hope you will come and join us.

The American Legion was chartered and incorporated by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic veterans organization devoted to mutual helpfulness. It is the nations largest veterans service organization, committed to mentoring and sponsorship of youth programs in our communities, advocating patriotism and honor, promoting strong national security, and continued devotion to our fellow service members and veterans.
