Tyler Cates American Legion Post 281 was chartered on August 10, 2010 and incorporated on November 3, 2010 with 47 veteran members of the great little town of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee. We have grown to the strength of 250 members and continue to welcome veterans from Mt. Juliet, and across Wilson County, and all of the surrounding counties. We do not have a "brick and mortar" building of our own, yet.   Currently, do to the Corona Virus pandemic and as it had impacted our community; we have been forced to seek a new location for our meeting, which has not been resolved.  This page will be updated when a new location has been determined.  Please feel free to reach out to anyone listed below at their email, or just hit the "Contact Us" link on the top of the homepage.  We hope you will come and join us.

The American Legion was chartered and incorporated by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic veterans organization devoted to mutual helpfulness. It is the nations largest veterans service organization, committed to mentoring and sponsorship of youth programs in our communities, advocating patriotism and honor, promoting strong national security, and continued devotion to our fellow service members and veterans.
